Students were given the rare opportunity to get their hands on research-grade scientific equipment to study biotechnology techniques used to develop medicines for diabetes and cancer. The Impington Village College pupils studied DNA restriction, ligation and transformation, which the school said most schools only get to read about in textbooks.
